Calling all Green Chamber members! Applications for Acterra’s 2013 Business Environmental Awards are now being accepted. Last year, GCC member Give Something Back Office Supplies received the highest honor, the Acterra Award for Sustainability. Let’s keep up our winning streak with additional Green Chamber winners this year. See award categories below and apply today!
Apply today at www.acterra.org/bea. The early-bird deadline is November 15 and all applications are due on Friday,December 7, 2012.
This year’s categories are:
Environmental Project
Rewards a specific environmental project that has demonstrated significant leadership in a focused area, such as resource conservation (water, waste, or energy), pollution prevention, or minimizing carbon footprint.
Environmental Innovation
Rewards the successful implementation of a new or significantly improved environmental product, solution or technology, such as a new business service, a new invention or a new way of solving an environmental problem.
Sustainable Built Environment
Rewards a building project that conserves natural resources and promotes the health and well-being of its occupants.
Acterra Award for Sustainability
Acterra’s highest award recognizes businesses whose programs achieve significant triple bottom line benefits (people, planet, profit) and advance the state of sustainability in a given industry or across industry sectors. Model programs are established and holistic; promoting sustainability throughout the entire value chain and permeating most key business functions.
