Support Toxic Chemical Policy Reform | Call Your Senator & Rep Today!
Please take a moment to ensure we get toxic chemicals out of our products and communities! As part of the American Sustainable Business Council, we continue to push forward on chemical policy reform, and we still need your help to get the best bill possible. On April 15, both the U.S. House and Senate unveiled strong legislation to reform the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) of 1976. The long-awaited, landmark legislation would overhaul the way the federal government protects the public from toxic chemicals.

Representatives Henry Waxman and Bobby Rush in the House unveiled a “discussion draft” of the Toxic Chemical Safety Act, and Senator Frank Lautenberg introduced a companion bill in the Senate, the Safer Chemicals Act. Both proposals would amend TSCA, the outdated law widely acknowledged to have failed in its goal of protecting people and the environment from toxic chemicals.
Our elected officials need to hear from you that as a business leader you support a strong Safer Chemicals Act.
